ABOUT ABOUT

Between the spring thaw and the winter frost of 1793, nearly 5,000 people would sicken and die of a horrible disease that baffled doctors.  Now you can hear the tales of fear and courage, despair and self-sacrifice from one of Philadelphia’s darkest chapters.  Actor Trish Troilo, brings those terrifying hours vividly back to life with her Yellow Fever Tours of Elfreth’s Alley, America’s longest lived on street.  Looking much like it did in 1793, Elfreth’s Alley was the home of countless fever victims.  On October 28, come hear their stories.  Tours will be given at 1:00, 2:00 and 4:00 starting at 124 Elfreth’s Alley.
